How can you compare the real study commitment?
Compare itemised fees, practical access and conditions before enrolment.
What belongs in a written quote?
Ask for tuition, compulsory extras, screening, equipment, reassessment and any payment-plan total. Keep subsidies and audience conditions visible. The national qualification does not set a universal price.
Who arranges practical access?
Confirm the host, suitable duties, travel, supervision and assessment access. Ask what happens if arrangements fall through. A national work-hour rule is not a provider placement guarantee.
Are extra shifts paid?
An unpaid arrangement is not settled by calling it a placement. Check the approved course arrangement against Fair Work guidance and clarify any existing employment relationship. This guide does not determine the status of your particular shifts.
How can you compare two offers fairly?
Put both written offers beside the same study plan: tuition and compulsory extras, payment-plan total, exact electives, delivery schedule, recognition decisions and practical access. Mark an unanswered item as not confirmed. A listed tuition fee cannot establish your all-in cost when checks, travel or assessment arrangements remain unknown.
What if practical arrangements change?
Ask who finds a suitable host, how far you may need to travel, when assessor visits occur, and whether another setting or extra assessment costs more. Request the delay, cancellation and refund terms before paying. Keep possible lost earnings and travel estimates separate from the provider’s quoted fees.
